A tour of the console
A quick map of what is in the console and where to find it.
Find things fast
- Search. Press Ctrl+K (⌘K on Mac) to search your servers by name or IP address.
- Instances. Your servers, their status and quick actions. Open a server to see its details, its Activity history and its power and delete controls.
- Setup banner. If your account still needs something (such as a verified email or a card), a banner on every page tells you what.
Launching
Launch instance walks you through region, operating system, size, and options.
- OS tab: standard Linux distributions, including the free UK Baseline image.
- Solutions tab: ready-made application images such as Docker, PostgreSQL and k3s.
- Custom Images tab: images you have uploaded. To install from an ISO instead, stop a server and attach the ISO under Boot media on its page; it boots at the next start. ISO booting is enabled per organisation, so ask support if the option is unavailable.
- Optional: Deploy from Git, and a backup plan.
Your SSH keys are installed on new servers by default. Manage them on the SSH Keys page.
Networking
- Firewall. Inbound and outbound rules. See Networking.
- Public IPs. Assign, reassign, and release addresses.
- Reverse DNS. Name a server with a full domain name (like mail.example.com) and its reverse DNS record is set for you.
- VPN Access. Generate a WireGuard config to reach private servers from your own device.
Account and billing
- Billing. Credit, payment method, spending cap, and invoices. See Understanding billing.
- Resource limits. What your account can use, how much you have used, and a button to ask for more. Requests open a support ticket.
- Team. Invite colleagues and manage who can do what.
- API Keys and API Docs. Automate the console from your own tools.
Getting help
- Support. Open a ticket for a support request, bug, server or network issue, billing question, or account question. You can follow replies in the same place.
- Feature requests. Suggest and vote on what we build next. We reply on the board when something is planned or shipped.
- Status page. Live platform status and planned maintenance.
